peeve  (pv)

To cause to be annoyed or resentful.

1. A vexation; a grievance.
2. A resentful mood: in a peeve about the delays.

Sometimes – frequently, really – I come across a word usage, a statement, an argument which grates and I am peeved by it.

Often there is a misuse of a word, a  misinterpretation, a twisting, a “spin”.  Usually there is something illogical about it.

So thought I would comment on this.

I will try to quote a definition garnered from the Web because that’s the easiest place to get one from.
